Spending Money vs. Making Money

I like spending money, but in order to do that I need to make money.

That is one of the reasons I experiment with ways to make money online. As you can tell from my blog I try all kinds of stuff. For me much of it just doesn't work.

Most of the ways to make money online are not worth your time.

I tried EBay for a while. Things have changed a little and there is more competition, but you can still make money on Ebay. I went to auctions and bought items cheap that I would re-sell on Ebay. While I did make a profit, the time involved gave me an hourly income rate of about $10. I could have worked it a little harder and found a higher end niche, but the experts would have crushed me. I made some spending money, but it wasn't worth my time and effort to continue. One area the I wanted to test yet, but didn't was selling home made videos on Ebay. I purchased this guide Sell Videos on Ebay but haven't put it to use. Worth looking into if you are serious about making money on Ebay.

I also tried CPA marketing. Since CPA marketing has a broader range then selling items on a specific site, let me break this down a little. I tried selling items that other people paid commission to me if I sold. Basically, a commissioned sales person. The problem with this is finding great products with a profit margin that exceeds the cost to advertise. My best month was 5 figures, but all the rest were under $200. More on this in a future post where I discuss my journey back to the 5 figure a month income.

Then there is CPC marketing. While CPC marketing is one of the lower income models, it is also the easiest to get started. For me this is just a starter to see if I can get some of the other numbers I need to really make money.

That is all for this week, stop back next week for more on the journey to make some spending money online.

The 30 Day Challenge 2008

Hello Readers, sorry for the delay in posting.

The 30 Day Challenge has started and if you are into internet marketing is worth checking out.

I participated in the first 3 30 Day Challenge events. Each time I made a little money and learned a great deal of info.

This year I will not be taking advantage of the great training provided by Ed and his group. To many things going on and not enough time.

I started moving into my new place on Saturday. Looking forward to getting settled and enjoying my changed life.

Best of luck to all.

Michael
