Entrecard Test Number 2
The results from my second EntreCard test are complete.
I spent a little over 700 credits on advertising. A couple ads were 64 credits and most I picked up days before the test at 4 credits.
My best performing ad cost 64 credits and generated close to 80 visitors. This is by far the best ad I have ever purchased.
What did the visitors do that came in from Entrecard. Not much. I picked up over 100 drops and about 5 RSS subscribers. Comments increased by a couple. But overall not much happened.
My suggestion for Entrecard is to spend the credits you have on advertising. Spend them all. Check back once a week and spend whatever credits you have accumulated.
If I am in the mood to browse new blogs I might do some dropping, but I don't see any value in dropping as a means to earn credits.
Entrecard is a nice site, but the traffic is not worth spending time earning credits.

Very timely post. I was considering Entrecard as a way to generate more traffic for my blog, but it may not be worth the trouble. Still, you did get some new visitors.
Actually using the drop system has it's benefits. I have been on entrecard a very short time, but one day I went from doing about 30-50 drops a day, to 300. This not only brought the drops on me instantly to 150+, but it brought my popularity rating through the roof. I am currently #24 in my category.
This has another domino effect - being that high up has made the drops on me increase by a few each day (or maybe it's just more drops being reciprocated) but my advertising value before I did this never went above 64, and usually hovered around 32.
Yesterday I hit 128, today I hit 256. Suddenly I'm getting tons of advert requests.
There have been a few other fringe benefits that branch out from there, but I think I've made this "comment" long enough, haha.
On the converse - for a well established blog, it probably *isnt* worth the time necessary to make the drops (takes me 45-60 mins for 300 drops)
