Free Website Hosting For 3 Sites Included

I need to make a correction to a statement I made the other day.

I incorrectly stated that Wealthy Affiliate included hosting for a website when in fact they provide hosting for up to 3 websites.

So for a little more then the cost of hosting 3 websites elsewhere you can host them on Wealthy Affiliate and take advantage of all the tools to make money with those sites.

Today I read up on landing page design and took a look at some of the free templates they offer.

This Saturday I will be starting one of the 20 Ways to $100 a Day. I did some research over the weekend but have not picked what idea I am going to start with.

Some of the ideas will be harder then others depending on what skills a person has. And some can be done 100% online, but others require a little offline effort.

How To Become A Wealthy Affiliate

My biggest money maker online has and continues to come from affiliate marketing. I often start a site with AdSense in my advertising spots, then convert the a spot to promote affiliate products.

When it comes to making money quickly or building a business that will continue to make money I prefer to build a business.

That is one of the reasons I joined Wealthy Affiliate in September. For less then the commission I earn from 1 affiliate product sale, I get all the tools and resources I need to build and grow my business.

On September 14th I used the Research Top Listings tool to look at some niche keyword Google AdWords advertising. I use this one tool at least once a week. Today I ran it again against a few of the keywords from mid September. I found a few that most of the advertisers are still the same.

This tells me that they must be making a profit, otherwise they would have stopped advertising. Who would advertise for over 2 months if they were loosing money? Not many, that is how I know they must be profitable niches.

I now have a list of potential niches to enter. All I need to do is develop an offer better then the current advertisers. More on this in a future post.

MyBlogLog Community Members Almost 500

I just checked my MyBlogLog community member counter and see that I am only a few away from 500. While this is nowhere near the multi-thousands that many others have, I am still very grateful for those who have decided to join my community.

Don't forget tomorrow morning the subscribers only email will go out with my latest project updates. I added some more tests into the system today and will have even more results for you next weekend.

Looking at the "What is your daily income goal" poll to the right I see that one person put $1-9. I am guessing that goal is from a specific goal. Making $1-9 daily online is fairly easy. Using free blogs and article marketing has greatly helped micro earning.

My 2008 goal is $200 a day. Though not in stone, I would like to set my 2009 goal at $500 a day. I now see the possibilities and am anxious for success at the higher level then I am currently at.

Research Data on the RTTALDT Project

Project Planning For 2008

I am working on my project plans for 2008. After reading how to make $100 a Day I decided to start in December instead of January. I just can't wait to start making $100 a day.

Over the weekend I picked out 3 of the 20 ideas. At first I was thinking about just picking one of them, but then I figured "why pick just one".

The ideas from the Path to making $100 a Day are based on making $100 a day starting in under a month.

During this week I am going to decide what idea to start with and plan my steps for December and all of 2008.

My goal is $200 a day in 2008, so with 3 ideas from te $100 a Day ebook I should be able to make $300 a day.

Project Updates - BLOG Version

Here is the blog version of my project updates.

Mid week I made some adjustments on the RTTALDT project. As of last night I have the business model set to a start phase scale. When the first phase is complete I will start adding the other parts of the model to the business. This is if the initial test provides enough profit to make it worth continuing.

Saturday December 1st. I will be releasing my plan for 2008 to build my business to $200 a day. This will go out first to my email list (see above) and then I will post an edited version here on the blog about a week later.

As for finances, my seed money is getting spent quickly. I purchased another website and did a little advertising. Income for the month is on target with last month, plus a little extra.

My 30 Day Challenge blog had a few huge days, then went back to trickle traffic. I know what needs to be done to improve my ranking, just never have the time to do it.

How Close Are You To Your Blogging Income Goals

The current poll I am running is about how much you want to make every day. In a few weeks I will start a poll related to where you are in reaching that goal.

If you are serious about making money online and trying to do it alone you need help. I used to think that I could figure out everything on my own. But then I joined Wealthy Affiliate and everything changed.

The tools and forum are my two favorite parts of the membership. Unlike public forums where people are always selling and pushing products because they are promoting them. In the Wealthy Affiliate forum you get an honest opinion and real answers to your questions.

I can't tell you what the tools do, but just one of the tools is worth more then the cost to join.

There is a job board, free web hosting and so much more.

Now instead of wandering and guessing I am on the Wealthy Affiliate path to success. My 2008 goal is $200 per day.

Where to get cheap traffic

I am or was looking to buy some cheap traffic. After a little research I found a guy that not only knows how to get cheap traffic he knows how to convert that traffic into profit.

Check out Google Payload to find out how to get cheap traffic and make a profit with that traffic.

There aren't enough hours in the day to do everything I want to do. That is why I am going to just work on 2 projects right now. One for my email subscribers called RTTALDT and the other based on the content of Google Payload.

If all goes as planned I should be able to meet my goal of $200 a day by this time next year. That reminds me, don't forget to take part in the current poll I am running and join my email group to get info that I don't post here on the BLOG.

I Figured It Out, Finally ...

I built my own custom website tracking system. It tells me all kinds of stuff.

For the past 2 months I noticed one of my tracked pages was getting hits. Only thing it it isn't linked from any of my sites.

Well, yesterday I figured out where the traffic was from. Traffic Swarm, a traffic exchange site. Turns out I had listed the page within the exchange and forgot about it.

My downline must have been surfing for credits. I was (and still am) getting free traffic exchange credits.

Now traffic exchange traffic does not convert very well. But if you have a nice lead capture page you can build you list for free. Then work on soft selling to the list.

Testing A Market

Today or tomorrow I will start testing my market for the RTTALDT project.

I am going to start with a template and whip up a quick lead capture or forum stly site just to get things going. What I need to know is how much traffic this new site can get in a day.

Like most blogs and websites traffic is the key to income.

I might throw a few Hydra ads on the page just to test how active the market is. I find that read ads work better for testing then AdSense, plus with Hydra I can control what I am advertising.

I Found My Niche

As mentioned in the email yesterday I am ready for action.

After completing my research I decided on a niche and purchased a domain.

The next part is almost as important as the research phase. That is the profit model & business model design.

The number one rule is "Don't sell to a market, serve it". That is a quote from John Reese.

Even though a business must make money to survive, the main focus cannot be to make money. I am expecting this business to bring in over $90,000 a year, but it will take some work to get started.

It will probably take a few days for me to work out all the details.

Project Updates

I'm lovin doing video for the internet. Next week will be another heavy week. I did about 20 hours of research this week as mentioned in the video. There is a pdf included with some of that research.

Web Video Breakthrough

Finally a video tool for websites that works!

I spent the last week looking for a tool that would allow me to convert my video files smaller for use on the web. I also wanted a tool that would include a player that I could put on my websites.

This is the Web Video Tool that I purchased. More on this shortly.

I worked on some research for the RTTALDT project today. At first I thought about making a PDF to include in the email on Saturday, but now that I have this cool video tool I think I might make a video instead.

One other thing I forgot to mention. The tool I use to make my videos is called CamStudio. Later this week I will make a demo of how I use the tool and show you this cool video converter and player that I mentioned above.

The Path to Money

A few months ago I was singing the praises of PayPerPost. While they provide a nice service and pay out on time. I stopped promoting them and doing paid posts for 2 reasons.

First the time required to write a nice 100-200 word post that only pays $10-20 is no longer worth my time. There are other things I can do that will bring in $30 an hour. My focus is less on providing a service and more on setting up a system.

Second I no longer promote PPP because I currently have 47 referrals. Zero of them have converted into posties. This is very poor conversion and after discussion with PPP and the disappointing response I decided to move on.

I worked on the RTTALDT project some more today. To get more info on this you must register for the newsletter in the upper right corner of the BLOG. I won't have any testing results this Saturday, but will provide some background on the niche research that I have completed.

The Value of Thinking

While working on the RTTALDT project I am realizing the value of thinking.

Even though there is no immediate profit from this activity I expect it to pay off in the future. I think it was Abraham Lincoln that said if he had 1 hour to cut down a tree he would spend the first 40 minutes sharpening the Axe.

I put all my other projects on hold to focus on this project.

Wealthy Affiliate Stuff

Check out this info about Wealthy Affiliate. As I said before, Wealthy Affiliate is one of the best investments I have made when it comes to making money online.

The RTTALDT project is up and running. As I mentioned the other day, the only way to get the details of this project is to subscribe to my email list in the upper right side of the blog.

Don't forget to set your clock back an hour tonight. For me that means I can work an extra hour without loosing any sleep. Since I am preaching at church tomorrow I should go to bed at regular time and get an extra hour of sleep. This will be my second time preaching.

October Make Money Project Balance Update

The numbers are in for October. But first. If you entered the Halloween Photo contest, check your email. I sent an email to the winner yesterday and am waiting for a reply.

Now to what you are waiting for.

Net for the month was $11.79 from $86.41 revenue.

The Expenses are up because of joining Aweber, but this is a good thing. I am already putting Aweber to use on 2 of my sites and profit has increased on these 2 sites.

Wealthy Affiliate is another membership expense. I love the Wealthy Affiliate tools and there is hosting included so my next site will not increase my monthly expenses.

I also spent some money on advertising and that is what drove the expenses so close to income this month.

As stated earlier this month I stopped doing paid posts. So income from PayPerPost for this month was only $16. I'm going to keep my eye on any changes they may offer, but for right now there are easier way to make money. I'll explain in a future post.

Text-Link-Ads income was very poor this month so I removed the links from all of my sites. Income total from TLA was $6 for October.

AdSense was the biggest earner this month at $46.66 total for all blogs and sites.

I just started using Hydra Media for my blogs and sites last week and so far income from that is $3.75.

$14 from an affiliate product round out the income to bring the new project balance to $370.20 as of November first.
