Make Money Online Goals

Tomorrow I will update the project balance. This project to make money starting with only one found penny has been a blast. Far more fun then I could ever have imagined.

Things are going well. If the income pattern continues I should hit my $100 goal by June. The next goal will be $1000 by Christmas using this $100 as a seed.

Since I was away for 2 weeks I have a few things to catch up on. The weather today reminded me of New Orleans. I hope to go back again some day.

I was so busy while away that I didn't have time to think about the details of my next investment.

The $5 investment for this month was for Microsoft AdCenter. They ran a promotion where you can try their PPC advertising for only $5. With that $5 fee they credit your account with $200.

As you can see that was a deal I could not turn down. I set up a few campaigns and started to promote some affiliate products. I still have about $50 of advertising left.

I can't count the $200 as cash since it must be used with AdCenter, but I can count the income from the advertising I tested.

Only one of the campaigns was good enough to keep running.

The income from this $5 investment will be close to $20. Not counting whatever comes in from the remaining $50 in advertising.

Project updates tomorrow night.

Make Money Updates

On Tuesday I will update the Penny Project make money project balance. So far it looks like the project should hit the $50 mark this month.

If all goes well I will have an update on my $5 investment and get started on an idea that should cost around $10.

Still no bids on Blakeize.com but even if I get some traffic from the 20 cent listing that would be great. I have the price set at $100, but I know as the American Idol numbers get lower and Blake remains in the competition the value of this domain goes up.

Looking forward to hitting my goals!

Louisiana Jazz Fest 2007

Tomorrow is the first day of the Louisiana Jazz Fest 2007. It is also the last day of work on the mission project and the day before we go home.

So far things are going well and we expect to have a little time tomorrow night to see the sights.

Nothing new on my make money projects. I can't check my accounts from here so an update will have to wait until Sunday.

Portable - Make Money Online

One of the most popular reasons for making money online is ...

You can work from wherever.

Here I am a couple thousand miles from home, yet still I am able to keep my business running as if I were at home. Granted there are some small adjustments, but overall very simple.

Tomorrow Ebay is holding another 20 cent listing day. Spend some time getting your items and descriptions ready. Don't focus on items that you will list for $.99 or even $9.99. That isn't a bargain on the listing fee. Instead focus on the items that you will start with a higher listing amount.

I am considering listing Blakeize.com on Ebay again to take advantage of the lower listing fee.

We are off to work on the mission project shortly.

Can You Copy Success

While sitting at the airport I read a business magazine.

I was shocked by something I saw. A young entrepreneur mentioned how much he spends on Google ads and how much he makes from those ads.

Now all someone has to do is a little research and ... woosh ... that entrepreneur just lost his business.

Yes, that could easily happen anyway. But boasting about such a huge profit margin is a big mistake.

Did you join Agloco yet? Best to get in before the big rush when the advertising contracts get signed.

Back From Las Vegas Trip

I am back from my Las Vegas trip. As you can see I got some cool free stuff in addition to 4 days of great educational sessions.

I don't know if I care for Vegas enough to want to vacation there. I guess if my family was along and we saw some shows it might give me a different opinion.

Saturday I leave again and it looks like I should be able to connect to the internet when I get time.

An update on my $5 project. I looked at the numbers this morning and if this trend continues I should be able to wrap it up by mid May.

I did some initial research for my next project. No investment as of yet.

Las Vegas Adventure and Starbucks

First let me start with Starbucks. This morning I stopped at Starbucks for Chai. When I got to the confrence center I noticed that the cup had my name on it.

I was very impressed. Then I realized that I have my confrence badge on with my name on it. Still a very nice personal touch.

There is without a doubt a lot to see in Vegas. Last night we walked some of the strip. I got to see the M&M factory and some of the casinos.

I thought I would have more time to think of some money making ideas and also work on my next $10 idea. But there is too much to do here.

Things are moving nicely with my $5 investment. I don't have the income stats right now because I am away from home.

Las Vegas And Making Money

Looks like I won't be able to do daily posts in Vegas. The hotel charges $12 a day for internet access. I can connect from the confrence, but time is short.

I don't care for slots, but played a couple bucks for co-workers and to redeem a free coupon the hotel gave me for $5. I am up a little right now, but will probably loose that before I leave. The casino has the odds in their favor.

There is alot of cool shopping places here. Other then that I don't see a reason to visit Vegas on vacation. It is working our great for work though. The hotel and confrence center are very convenient.

Guess I better get something to eat ....

Short on Time

Tonight I have a meeting and I am running out of time before my trip.

No new updates for today. Still waiting for a reply on my secret $5 project.

I have a plan for my next $10 investment. That will probably be in May.

What An Awesome Day To Make Money

Today I would like to say a Very Big Thank You to.....

..... for sending me to fine cigars and a cigar cutter. The first one is, or should I say, was, a Cuban Rolled Amante. Wow, what a cigar. I really wanted to play some poker while smoking it, but couldn't find a good tournament to enter. The flavor was on the mild side, very smooth. It reminded me of the $15 cigar a friend gave me not long ago. I have to give it high marks on the buzz factor as well. I was relaxed is less then 10 minutes.

I will write about the second cigar after I smoke it. Many thanks to Tinderbox.com for sending them to me.

I hit a stalling point on my secret $5 project. The vendor I am working with is now 5 days behind schedule. Hopefully by the time I get back from Vegas things will be going again.

While I am in Vegas I will try to continue to post once a day. If I can figure out how to slip in pictures from my cell phone I will.

Technorati as a money making tool. To be honest, I don't know how to make money with Technorati. But I do know that I do get some traffic and links from bloggers on Technorati.

Today Is Tax Day

Well today is the day I do my taxes.

I took off work to fill out all the paperwork and get everything ready to mail in.

Looks like last year was a little below 2005 income from my online business. Probably because I tested so many new markets. My advertising costs were way up.

Looking over last weeks stats it seems like things are slowing down.

I didn't have time to work on what I wanted to get done today. Taxes took longer then expected. Hopefully it will be completed by Saturday.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter!

We are between Church and visiting family, so this will be short.

My Ebay auctions end in 3 hours. So far the two auctions that are not part of this project have bids and the records that are part of this project does not have a bid. No worry, I didn't think they were going to sell anyway.

On the plus side my $5 secret test is going well. Other things are falling into place with more details later this week.

Update on Tinderbox

Normally I don't post so close together, but this is important.

How do you know when you are dealing with a top notch merchant?

Simple, They care as much about you as they do their customers.

I joined 3 affiliate programs before writing that last blog post. Two of the 3 used a generic "Thank You" message. But Tinderbox.com Cigars sent me an email that made me feel welcome. It wasn't a canned email, it showed they care.

Much like the call I got from the VP at ShopZilla last Saturday. It made their company stand out.

Of the 3 programs I joined, which one do you think I will promote the heaviest (or at all)?

Tinderbox.com Cigars of course!

Take Care,

Michael

Finding Your Niche Among Millions

Are you trying to find your one special niche? Or just looking for markets to test out to see if they can make you some money?

Wait until you see what I have been working on. No details at this time, but before I leave for Vegas next week I will announce it here.

In the mean time lets start with something obvious.

Do you have a hobby? Can you make money from that hobby?

For example if you like to sample rare, expensive or local cigars you could find a affiliate program that sells cigars.

First find the big companies online then see if they have an affiliate program.

Join their program and start a blog about what they sell. But don't write like a sales letter. Just write what really happens in your life. When you bring home that new cigar write about it and post it on your blog.

As you can see that was a very simple example. What I am working on will knock you off your feet. It really could be the tipping point for you.

Focus On Being Outstanding

I was working on my $5 project test last night and also thinking up some more projects to test.

Then it hit me. Focus on being outstanding.

Instead of jumping all over the place, pick one niche and dominate.

But I also believe in multiple streams of income. So combine the two.

Budget a portion of time for testing new niche markets, say 20% and the remaining 80% focus on one market.

Making money is fun, enjoy what you do.

Money Making Project Updates

I was a little worried yesterday. In the morning and early afternoon, ads from one of my networks was not showing on the page. It was just empty space. This worried me because it was my highest earning network.

For about 2 hours I was thinking of was to replace the ads with something else. Fortunatly I didn't have to try any of my ideas. But there was a good lesson learned from this experience. Don't rely on one "Main" source of income.

Yes, I already do have multiple streams of income. But there is only one network that brings in most of my internet income.

So far the records I listed on Ebay have no bids. It could be because I listed all 12 as one lot. This makes writing the title harder. I did this to save money on the listing fees.

Blakeize.com is doing fine. The design needs changed. Design is one of my week areas. Next I need to plan when and how to sell Blakeize.com

My secret $5 project is doing fine. It will be about a month until I can give any details.

Using Text Link Ads was one of my better moves. Their system runs smoothly and the process for earning money from them is fantastic. And thank You Top Home Business for purchasing a sponsor link this month. These listings are lower on the right side. As you know I only sell 1 sponsor listing in the upper right and I manage that sale myself. Thank You Sell You Manitoba Cottage for purchasing this spot. Dont miss the $100 in FREE Links from Text Link Ads.

My test with Shopzilla isn't going very well. My guess is that the people that visit my sites are looking for information and not physical goods. When I get a chance I will develop a BLOG about a physical product category and see how that works.

ClickBank and the other affiliate networks I promote are running as expected.

Blockbuster Movie Rentals

In 8 days I will be heading to Vegas on business.

My tradition when traveling for business or education is to take along a couple James Bond DVDs. I have 2 of the 3 box sets and Casino Royale. My wife doesn't care for James Bond. This works out well for me and like I said it has become a tradition.

I love watching DVDs when I am not reading or working.

Netflix almost put Blockbuster out of business. Until Blockbuster made the smart move that Netflix couldn't compete on.

Now you can have your movies sent to you through the mail, but if you are in a hurry you can stop at the local Blockbuster and complete a transaction with your membership. What an awesome idea.

The only problem now is what movie to request next.

Work Harder, Work Smarter, Make More Money

Blake Lewis made it another week on American Idol. I think he has a great sound. But I think Blake needs to stand out a little more with his image. He has the technical part down, now Blake needs to work on his marketing.

I did a little work on the site tonight. Well, I should say I did some marketing tonight. I also did a little marketing for Blakeize.com tonight.

My $5 test is going well. No income figures yet. I don't like to check my accounts every day. Instead I try to just check my accounts on Monday's.

Sweet Popcorn and Making Money

Today I found a quarter. I added this to the project balance. I also subtracted $2 for the April Blakeize.com hosting and another $5 for a project I am testing.

Some of the projects I work on will be a secret until I decide to release the details. I could tell you what I invested the $5 in. But I decided to keep it a secret until that part of the project is complete. When I give you the details, you will understand.

Today I approved a Text Link Ads request. These ads are down the page from where the solo text ad runs. It should have shown up. I will have to check to see if the code is not working.

Yesterday my wife picked up some sweet popcorn. All I can say is that stuff is addicting.

Unlimited Wealth Package

Earn a full-time income working only 30 minutes a day.

I find it hard to believe that you can earn a full-time income in only 30 minutes per day. But, here is why I want to mention this product.

What is that one idea or tip that can explose the sales in your existing business. Or if you haven't started yet, what a great way to get started.

If you are a regular visitor you know I read everything I can get my hands on. Audio Books, Business Books, e-Books, magazines, etc. The cost of each book is not what I paid for it, but how much it helps grow my business. A $25 book that gives me ideas and tips to grow my business is really not $25 after all the extra money I make. Having all the knowledge in place when an opportunity presents itself is one of the ways rich people get rich.

Enough rambling from me, check this out.

Money Buckets Update

Today I added the $3.20 advertising income from March. There will be more added later when the check arrives from the other affiliate network.

So far no bids on the records. If they don't sell I will probably pitch them.

So far ShopZilla is not converting like I had hoped. I'm going to just post the Shopzilla ads when they match the content of the post. They may convert better on my other sites so I will have to see what fits.

Tonight is practice for the Church Play. If I have time later I hope to finish researching my next project test.

Here is a snapshot of the hotel I will be staying at in Vegas. Mandalay Bay looks like a fun place. The confrence runs from 9-6 Sunday thru Wednesday, but I will have plenty of free time to check out the sights.

Make Money Project Updates

I listed the rest of my records on Ebay. When I update the project balance tomorrow I will also include the Ebay listing fee.

Over on Blakeize.com I made a few changes to help with traffic. I'm not real happy with the design, but it works for now.

I now have 2 notebook pages full of ideas (one per line). My plan is to narrow down the list to three and save the rest for future projects. It could take a few days and depending on time involved I might need to wait until I return from my two trips.

Almost forgot, I used the new Ebay listing tool and noticed the digital product selection. This is something I want to test. If I can sell digital products on Ebay and have the delivery automated, that would be awesome. An automated Ebay system.

Have a Blessed Holy Week,

Michael

Second Life Income

Today I stopped in on Second Life a little. I wanted to find an amusement park, but many of the places I found were full. One of the locations was real slow, so I left early.

After that I went to a meditation place and relaxed. Yep, you can relax in a virtual world.

Right now I have $41L in Second Life. Not bad for doing nothing.

Sell Your Manitoba Cottage is our Advertiser for April, May & June. I will probably do a review of their site later this month. One thing to point out here. The earlier you buy a link for me, the better chance you have at getting the cheapest price. As this site gets more popular the amount will just keep going up.

Speaking of advertising income, I will record and update that tomorrow. There was income from multiple networks, so some will be recorded tomorrow and the rest when the checks arrive.
