How To Improve Your Current BLOG Content

How many BLOGs do you own? Or should I say, How many BLOGs do you update daily?

The quickest way to improve your current blog content is to stop creating content on topics you don't care about.

For the topics you don't care about either get rid of the blog or hire someone to do the content for you.

Look over your list of websites and blogs. What do you really care about, what is your passion.

Try this little exercise and see if it helps. Even if you only have one blog you may want to do this to help come up with a posting topic schedule.

Draw a circle on a piece of paper. In that circle write down your favorite hobby or a topic you are really passionate about.

This part is a little harder and may require some extra thought. What categories can you discuss on the topic you choose. Take for example a passion about "Save Money" that I did for my SaleBum website.

My sections for that site at a high level are Coupons, Auctions and Rewards. From there I can break down into weekly topics like I do for this blog.

I like saving money, going to auctions and surfing the net to save money. These topics are easy for me to talk about and something I do naturally when talking to people.

Now list 4 themes related to your topic and come up with a basic title for each of the categories identified in the previous step.

You now have an outline of about one months worth of content for your blog. Can you come up with 4 themes and content for your categories each month? If you can then great, if not then you may want to re-think starting or continuing a blog on that topic.

Now apply this process to your existing blogs and websites. Stop back Thursday to see what I plan to do with the sites that I am not passionate about any more.
