This Passive Income article will focus on ways to make passive money online. There are ways to make passive money offline, but that is not the intended focus.

Interest & Stock Market - Interest is one of the easiest forms of making money (online of off). Obviously the more you have to begin with the more money you will make. And if you aren't afraid to loose your investment there is the stock market. The risk is higher, but with professional advice the return should be higher as well.

Royalties - Write a book, write a song, write a play, write a movie, etc., you get the idea. Then find an outlet for your work, a book publisher or movie producer for example, and earn a royalty from your work. There is more to selling books then just writing it, as the author you may be asked to do signings or give a speech. So there are some aspects of this form of passive income that may make it only partly passive.

Residual Commission - Residual commission is where you sell a product or service and continue to make money for as long as that person stays a customer of the merchant you are promoting. For example if you sell an Aweber membership you will earn 20% each month for as long as that person stays a member. You do the work once to get the customer to purchase, but continue to profit as long as they remain a customer. I have been a user of Aweber for over a year. They have a great product that is easy to use and the resource section for affiliates to promote the Aweber service is outstanding.

Digital Delivery - Selling digital products on the internet gets easier every day. Once you have a following of affiliates this can become passive. Even without affiliates a simple system can automate most of the tasks and allow you to sell digital products passively (more on this in a future article). ClickBank is one of the most popular places to sell digital products and they have a system in place to help their network of affiliates promote your products.

I have tried all the passive income methods listed here except Royalties. One of these days I may write a book, but for now I enjoy blogging and making money online.

My favorite form of passive income is residual commission. To this day I am still earning money from a program I stopped promoting last summer. I suggest beginners to start with a program that is easy to promote like Aweber and work your way up to the more competitive programs.
