Use Ebay To Double Your Penny Project

One way that I mentioned before was Ebay. In the past I purchased some stuff at auctions and garage sales to make some extra cash.

This is work, but less of a risk then other methods.

Here is a resource I found with some Must Have Ebay information if you are serious about selling on Ebay.



An easier method that requires less work is selling products that are digital downloads. Ebooks are hard to sell on Ebay, but there are other things that can be sold as a digital download. Check out the Free Ebay CD for more info.

Return From My Mission Trip

I am back.

This past week I was away in Luling, LA doing mission work for Presbyterian Disaster Assistance. It was very rewarding and there is much more work to be done.

I did not have a chance to work on the double penny project. Other then some advertising income that will be recorded at the end of the month I have nothing new to report.

My current goal is to see how much money I have to work with in early December. Then I will figure out what step to take next. Again, my focus is on doing things that will earn residual income.

One Double Penny WIth Residual Income

Now this is what I like.

Residual income. Take a one time investment of time and/or money and have that investment continue to earn money over a longer period of time.

For example an author writes a book. The work is completed and the publisher does some marketing. The author may have to do some book signings or something, but for the most part they did the work once and will continue to earn income for as long as the book sells.

This works for us smaller authors in the form of ebooks or self publish with a service like lulu.com. I like ebooks because you can set it up to automatically deliver the ebook after payment.

What are some other ways that we can do work once and earn money for a longer period of time?

Sell The Sum, Not The Parts

Here is an idea to make a couple bucks.

When you find a deal on deli meat and cheese. Puck up some rolls and assemble some sandwiches.

Mark up you cost and sell at local businesses.

This is a labor task and not one where your money grows without work. I am still working on some "Non-work" money making ideas.

Take Surveys Online To Make Money

Here is an idea to get some people going.

Take some surveys online to make extra money. I would consider this a labor task. That is you are working for your money, not letting it work for you.

But if you are below $20 or so and having a hard time moving up the steps then this might be for you.



I did some surveys and rewards questions in the past. Not hard work, it just takes some time to build up a little.

This is a good idea to get you to the $20 level or a little above, but for me I would not do this past that amount. Reason being that this is work, we want to have our money do the work.

Will Life Caching Replace Lifehacks?

For those of you at a level with money to invest here is something interesting.

I read an article on trendwatch about Life Caching. It involves renting expensive items instead of owning cheaper ones.

For example instead of having 2 cars a family might have one car and rent a BMW or luxury car when they need the second car. There was an example on the site that mentioned high end expensive handbags. Lady's are renting these costly handbags and switching them and not having to keep going out an buying more.

Think about it. Would there be less waste?

Internet Marketing As A Double Penny Task

I do internet marketing on the side. Very fun, but also very hard work. Some days I don't make any money, yet still pay for advertising. Not fun. Other days I get conversions to cover my advertising. Fun.

There is one type of internet marketing that doesn't require any money and once you set it up you can forget about it.

That is my kind on double money. On the downside, you may not make much money, and it could take a while.

If you notice on my BLOG I have advertising. Not just contextual advertising but also promoting other products.

This makes my BLOG look more mainstream. For example people may trust me a little more knowing that I can get approved by WalMart to promote their products. By the way, that is no easy task getting WalMart to approve you.

Like I mentioned earlier once it is set up I am done. Now I just do my BLOG posts like I normally do, nothing new, no extra work.

If I make a couple bucks great, free money. If not, then no big deal.

In a future post I will give some ideas to take this to the next level.

Basically, after you find your first penny figure out a way to double it. Don't focus on finding money, figure out how to make it work for you.

Doubling Your Penny In The Right Direction

It was great to read the comments about my last BLOG post. Nice to know that others agree. Hey, it is even nice to hear when others disagree, that is how we grow.

Still at $1.06, no found money and no transactions. I did have some advertising income, but as mentioned before I will add that at the end of the month.

Since it is getting cold out there won't be many yard sales. I love auctions. The real kind where you put your card up to bid on something. But I don't know about doing that. In that past I made some good deals, but I also made some mistakes. I don't want to have to go back to the beginning already.

I am going to do some brainstorming and see if I can come up with some ideas.

Double Penny Project - Do You Work For Your Money Or Does Your Money Work For You

Do You Work For Your Money Or Does Your Money Work For You?

I am currently at $1.06 and slowly moving ahead. Now I could do some service oriented work and make a couple bucks to add to this project.

But what good would come of that? I already know how to work for money.

What I want to learn with the double penny project is how to get my money to work for me. And not that 1% interest that the bank pays. I am looking for double profits all the way.

Allen gave me some bad news today. He lost some money on his recent ebay auctions. I know he still has some stuff to sell and could recover. Check his "Phat" blog with the link at the right for details on how he lost money. You might want to wait a couple days, he just told me this morning so it could be a couple days until he does an update.

In the past I did good on ebay, but sometimes stuff just doesn't sell.

I am busy early in the week, but hope to do some work on this project later in the week.

Advertising Income Added To The Double Penny Project

Today is the first of the month so I will add in the advertising income from October.

Last month I made $0.05 from advertising on this BLOG. Not a lot and not going to be the focus of any future steps. At least this kind of advertising.
